About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Respond to emergency, urgent and routine maintenance requests within required timeframes
Stabilize emergencies and escalate licensed work
Perform routine plumbing, electrical within authorization, HVAC first response, door and hardware, drywall and fixture repairs
Use the assigned repair kit and scan issued parts to work orders
Return unused stock
Record arrival, diagnosis, failure cause, remedy and verification on a mobile tablet, including photos where permitted
Report conditions requiring specialty trades, mold or moisture response, or major repair
Serve in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours calls
Maintain assigned tools, service vehicle and work areas in a clean, safe and organized condition
Treat residents and occupied living spaces with courtesy and respect
Clean up after each job
Drive a service vehicle between buildings on the installation
Work as the primary maintenance responder for an assigned zone of barracks and housing facilities
Complete repairs on the first visit whenever possible
No supervisory responsibilities required

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of multi-trade maintenance experience in multifamily, lodging, barracks or commercial facilities, including plumbing, electrical within authorization, HVAC basics and carpentry
High school diploma or GED required
OSHA 10 certification required
EPA 608 Type II certification preferred
State trade licenses a plus
Must provide own basic hand tools
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access
Ability to work respectfully in occupied rooms
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams preferred
Experience using a CMMS mobile app preferred
Experience working on Department of Defense installations, contracts or programs is a plus
Resident of the Fort Campbell area preferred
Ability to follow NEC, IPC/UPC and IMC codes, manufacturer specifications and safe work practices, including LOTO, PPE and ladder safety
Ability to lift up to 50 lb., climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces and tight areas, and work in outdoor weather conditions
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work some evening or weekend shifts
