About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop a production team
  • Conduct daily startup meetings and drive accountability for performance and attendance
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material flow to execute daily production aligned with the Master Production Schedule and customer commitments
  • Identify production bottlenecks and constraints, implement immediate corrective actions, and escalate issues when necessary
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and processing of wood veneer materials to minimize defects, damage, and scrap
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through safety observations, PPE and 5S standards, and incident/near-miss investigations
  • Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, optimize workflows, and track operational KPIs
  • Maintain daily production reporting
  • Collaborate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience)
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States
  • Ability to read and execute production schedules and track shop-floor metrics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with digital production reporting/ERP systems
  • Preferred: Associate degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred: Previous leadership, lead operator, team lead, or supervisory experience
  • Preferred: Experience in wood products, door manufacturing, building products, or related manufacturing environments
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, root-cause problem solving, and 5S methodology
