About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the success of New Product Development Projects and/or key Initiatives
  • Lead multi-location, cross-functional teams to launch new products using a structured development process
  • Work with Product Managers and Senior Program Managers to capture product/project requirements, scope, and success metrics
  • Establish project development strategy, schedule, product costs, budget, and resource needs with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Test, Finance, Operations, and other functions
  • Establish execution plans and weigh tradeoffs
  • Track project activities, risks, and issues to keep programs on schedule and within budget while meeting customer requirements
  • Drive issues to closure and escalate issues and mitigation recommendations to upper management
  • Resolve people and team dynamic issues to support effective program-team performance
  • Coordinate interdependencies with other simultaneous projects
  • Schedule and lead status review meetings and formal project reviews with Senior Management
  • Support mechanical and/or electronic product developments of varying complexity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in New Product Development and/or Support
  • Experience in new product development programs from concept to production using a structured process
  • Proven problem-solving skills and techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Tenacity in coordinating project team members to achieve program timelines and outcomes
  • Self-starter with a desire to make a significant impact on project execution
  • Courage to raise issues to upper management when a program is at risk
  • Good understanding of consumer products, software, and hardware development preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including project management software
  • CaPM or other Project/Program Management Certifications preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status
