About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake legal and business research requests with support from experienced librarians
- Support management and ongoing maintenance of digital library resources
- Assist with management of the physical collection in the Sydney office
- Build relationships with colleagues, information providers and publishers
- Monitor evolving research strategies, tools and emerging technologies, including AI
- Support delivery of training on legal research platforms
- Support current awareness and news monitoring services
- Contribute to continuous improvement of research delivery, workflows and user experience
- Promote library services and collaborate on firm-wide knowledge initiatives
- Work within the Knowledge Services team to maintain the Sydney collection and develop legal information services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualification or nearing completion of a qualification in library and information studies, law, or a related field
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to delivering outstanding service
- Curiosity about information, technology and learning new research tools
- Interest in how AI is transforming research and knowledge services
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Prior legal research experience is welcome but not required
