Key responsibilities & impact

Plans, designs, develops, and delivers complex technical training programs
Covers standardization of work practices, use of technology, and work quality issues
Conducts training needs assessments
Evaluates training program effectiveness and suggests improvements
Monitors feedback and solicits input to meet company and business unit needs
Evaluates current and past participants, identifies skill gaps, and measures retention of learned material
Participates in evaluation and purchase of training materials
Identifies alternative training solutions and cost-effective delivery methods
Combines classroom instruction with field-based training
Travels regularly and works in classroom and field environments
Performs other duties supporting Alliant Energy's Values and Purpose

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
5 years of experience in training and/or specific technical discipline
Positions in Wisconsin require candidate to have obtained Journeyman status in technical area of expertise
Must possess a valid driver's license
Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups, lead meetings, and adjust presentations to meet diverse audience needs
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Working knowledge of adult learning theories preferred
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs, including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software, and audiovisual equipment
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment
