About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Provide proactive, solutions-focused responses to customer enquiries in line with Business Partner expectations and FCA requirements
  • Manage customer contacts end-to-end and keep customers informed
  • Present relevant insurance upgrade options using a procedure-based sales approach and Treating Customers Fairly principles
  • Prioritise workloads and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Accurately record customer interactions and complete administrative tasks
  • Handle regulated complaints and escalate high-profile or contentious cases
  • Follow call guides, processes, and compliance procedures
  • Share product knowledge, technical updates, and customer feedback trends
  • Participate in coaching, feedback, call audits, one-to-ones, and performance reviews
  • Complete mandatory training modules
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in a customer service role, ideally within a contact centre, travel, or insurance environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly and empathetically
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure
  • High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Proficiency in standard PC applications and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts: Monday–Saturday 8am–8pm, Sunday 9am–5pm
  • Good standard of general education, including English Language GCSE or equivalent
  • Familiarity with FCA regulations and Treating Customers Fairly principles (desirable)
  • Knowledge of travel insurance products or the travel industry (desirable)
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools or digital workflows (desirable)
