About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the immediate superior in managing and governing implementation of Allianz Malaysia’s sustainability strategy and ESG impacts in Malaysia
- Develop, maintain and implement the local Sustainability Framework, Policies, Guidelines and Standard Operating Workflows
- Operationalise the sustainability framework, including ESG due diligence screening exercises
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and Allianz Group requirements and facilitate closure of compliance gaps
- Govern, align, facilitate and monitor sustainability implementation and integration across the organisation
- Prepare sustainability integration progress and achievement reports for Management and Board
- Monitor sustainability strategy performance, initiatives and projects against scope, deliverables, targets and timelines
- Analyse performance and highlight irregularities to management
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and preventive or corrective actions with initiative and project owners
- Support the Secretariat Lead for Sustainability Committee, Special Sustainability Committee and ESG Taskforce
- Establish committee Terms of Reference, determine schedules and agendas, administer meetings, document minutes and follow up on closures
- Assist with industrial research, analysis and benchmarking on sustainability strategy, business models and targets
- Support and advise on ESG-related enquiries and surveys from internal and external stakeholders
- Support day-to-day departmental administration and regional sustainability coordination, including Privacy Champion, Data Steward and Business Continuity Management Coordinator duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Sustainability or equivalent
- Preferable candidate with minimum 3 years working experience for similar function
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently, resourceful and able to multitask
- Agile to work in fast paced environment
- Growth mindset with strategic & business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Good project management skills and team work
- Excellent computer knowledge including AI Tools eg. ChatGPT, Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Insurance industry or financial industry exposure is an added advantage
