About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advocate Global and Asian Fixed Income investment strategies marketed in the Asia Pacific region
- Work closely with CIOs, investment and distribution teams to advocate Fixed Income strategies internally and externally
- Represent CIOs and investment teams at client, consultant, marketing and conference events across Asia Pacific
- Support distribution teams with business development and product training for client presentations
- Create product content and commentary for institutional and retail investors, covering value proposition, process, holdings, exposures, key figures and risk-return analysis
- Track product performance and explain positioning versus markets, benchmarks and peers
- Lead investment content for RFPs, due diligence and marketing in consultation with CIOs
- Contribute to AllianzGI product development initiatives for covered strategies
- Report to the Head of Product Specialists Fixed Income
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in Economics, Finance or similar field of study
- Ideally minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in a product specialist role, portfolio management, retail or institutional sales, business management or high-end product management role preferred
- Excellent knowledge of global bond markets, investment strategies and products is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences and clearly articulate investment content
- CFA, CEFA or CIIA qualified or similar qualifications would be an asset
- Experience working in a large financial institution and strong networking ability
- Entrepreneurial and organised, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- IT literate; experienced user of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and ideally VBA
- Written and verbal command of English and Mandarin
- AI skills: Microsoft CoPilot, ChatGPT, Artificial Intelligence (AI)
