About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Room patients and obtain medical histories and vital signs
- Assist physicians during examinations and allergy-related procedures
- Administer allergy injections (immunotherapy) and monitor patients for reactions
- Perform or assist with allergy testing, such as skin prick testing
- Educate patients on allergy management, medications, and treatment plans
- Document patient information in electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
- Refill medications and communicate with pharmacies as directed by providers
- Recognize and respond to allergic reactions and emergencies, including anaphylaxis
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection-control standards
- Support the Allergy, Asthma & Sinus team across Brentwood, Hicksville, and Oceanside locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current LPN license in NY state
- CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of allergy, asthma, and immunology care (preferred)
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
