About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet and check in patients while providing excellent customer service
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration
- Answer phones, process messages, and assist with general office communication
- Verify insurance, collect copays, and maintain accurate patient information
- Support referrals, forms, scanning, and front desk administrative tasks
- Assist patients and families with questions regarding office processes and appointments
- Adapt quickly to different office workflows and team environments
- Maintain professionalism, organization, and attention to detail in fast-paced settings
- Travel between offices based on operational needs
- Provide coverage at Hicksville and Glen Oaks locations based on practice needs
- Work the stated Monday–Thursday and every-other-Saturday schedule
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of Medical Receptionist experience required
- Experience with AthenaOne and/or Phreesia strongly preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable traveling between multiple office locations
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
