About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, maintain, and enhance monitoring and observability solutions using Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, with support for OpenTelemetry, Grafana Tempo, and SigNoz.
Develop automation scripts and routines using Python, Shell Script, PowerShell, or Ansible.
Perform asset discovery and integration, monitoring provisioning, bulk configuration, and API-based integrations.
Implement and improve monitoring rules, reducing false positives, redundant alerts, and operational noise.
Develop notification and escalation workflows.
Implement and enhance the collection, centralization, and analysis of logs, metrics, and traces.
Develop dashboards, support application instrumentation, and enhance APM solutions.
Investigate anomalies and incidents by correlating events, metrics, and logs to identify root causes and propose preventive actions.
Contribute to monitoring standards, technical documentation, reusable templates, and continuous improvement of observability processes.
Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Development, and Operations teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Zabbix: Hands-on experience administering the platform, creating and maintaining templates, items, triggers, Low-Level Discovery (LLD) rules, and API integrations.
Grafana and Metrics: Experience building dashboards, creating queries, and analyzing monitoring indicators. Knowledge of Prometheus and PromQL queries.
Monitoring and Logs: Practical knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring, as well as familiarity with log centralization, querying, and analysis.
Operating Systems and Networking: Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux servers, with knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and SNMP networking.
Automation and Scripting: Ability to develop, interpret, and maintain Python, Shell Script, or PowerShell scripts to automate operational activities.
Troubleshooting: Ability to investigate issues, interpret indicators, analyze logs, and identify potential causes of infrastructure and service failures.
Logical reasoning, analytical mindset, autonomy in carrying out activities, proactivity, organization, and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with Loki, Promtail, or Grafana Alloy; knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Grafana Tempo, SigNoz, or other APM and distributed tracing tools; experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox; Docker and Kubernetes; AWS, Azure, or GCP; Ansible, n8n, or Power Automate; Terraform or equivalent tools; relational databases and SQL; SRE practices, SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets; alert integrations and incident management tools.
Ability to independently lead technical activities, investigate complex issues, propose practical solutions, learn new technologies, document and standardize deliverables, and share knowledge.
