About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Adjudicate VSC mechanical claims according to established quality and timeliness guidelines
- Review repair estimates related to vehicle breakdowns
- Verify coverage eligibility and determine whether repairs are covered under customers’ Vehicle Service Contracts
- Negotiate and settle basic and occasionally moderately complex claims
- Investigate claim files, review damage, take photos, and determine reparability or total loss
- Prepare damage estimates and locate parts
- Document claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process
- Complete other tasks as directed by management
- Work without supervisory duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Beginner-level resource for adjudicating VSC mechanical claims
- Strong automotive or mechanical background
- Comfortable evaluating vehicle repairs and estimates
- Located in an Eastern or Central time zone state
- Background investigation required
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating when working from home
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
