About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents
- Determine coverage, liability, damages, and adjust and negotiate claims within authority limits
- Gather and evaluate claim information
- Identify subrogation or fraud potential and determine how to handle it
- Negotiate claim settlements within authority limits
- Deliver exceptional customer service and identify customer needs
- Partner with assigned fraud or subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome
- Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and other potential property damage
- Apply an intermediate understanding of company and industry insurance policies
- Handle all aspects of auto claim investigations, including coverage, damages, and subrogation, with discretion and independence
- No supervisory duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with auto insurance claims handling
- Experience with coverage and liability investigations
- Experience with customer service and claims resolution
- Experience negotiating claim settlements
- Ability to identify subrogation and fraud opportunities
- Experience with auto property damage and/or bodily injury claims preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple claims in a fast-paced environment
- Active insurance license holders must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team
- Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
