About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate basic and occasionally moderately complex auto insurance claims
- Handle non-represented claims
- Evaluate coverage, determine liability, and assess damages
- Negotiate and settle claims according to established guidelines and best practices
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards throughout the claim lifecycle
- Investigate minor to moderately complex auto accidents and prepare clear, concise claim summaries
- Conduct recorded statements with claimants, insureds, and witnesses
- Maintain detailed, well-documented claim files, including notes, summaries, and decision rationale
- Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient, customer-centric claim handling
- Resolve claims in a timely, accurate, and customer-focused manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of prior claim handling experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with solid critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Comfortable using technology and learning claims-related software and tools
- Dedicated private workspace in the residence, free from distractions
- Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Appropriate work surface and seating
- Must obtain all required adjuster licenses within 60 days of hire
- Must maintain all licensing required for the role, including continuing education and state-affiliated renewal requirements
- Background investigation required
- Generally must not require employment-based visa sponsorship
- This position is not available for California, Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii residents
