About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for basic automobile accidents
- Conduct initial investigations of bodily injury claims
- Evaluate liability and verify coverage
- Determine damages and drive timely, fair claim resolution
- Manage complex claim situations from first notice through early resolution
- Handle auto claim coverage, liability, and damages investigations
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate basic injury claims
- Recognize vehicle body parts and potential property damage
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate customer service
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it
- Work shifts of 11am–8pm EST or 12pm–9pm EST
- No supervisory duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience investigating and confirming facts of loss for automobile accidents
- Ability to determine coverage, liability, damages, and adjust/negotiate claims within authority limits
- Strong analytical and customer service skills
- Ability to manage complex claim situations from first notice through early resolution
- Experience with MMR preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of insurance policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
- Ability to investigate auto claim coverage, liability, and damages with limited discretion
- Ability to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic injury claims
- Ability to identify vehicle body parts and potential property damage
- Customer service, de-escalation, empathy, multitasking, negotiation, prioritization, task management, and time management skills
- Must terminate existing appointments if currently holding an active insurance license
- Must not hold outside insurance appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided
- Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
