About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles with property damage and/or bodily injury and attorney involvement
  • Assess coverage, liability, and damages
  • Provide customer service through voice calls, email, text messages, and sometimes video chat
  • Investigate casualty and applicable line-of-business claims through detailed damage reviews and policy interpretation
  • Evaluate and negotiate injury claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
  • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
  • Execute policies in accordance with policy agreements and legal and business standards
  • Document claim activity accurately and timely in the claims system
  • Handle primarily litigated claims in Georgia

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of previous 3rd Party Bodily Injury Claims handling experience
  • 2–5 years of current Georgia claims experience
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation
  • Dedicated private home office workspace free from distractions
  • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up
  • Appropriate work surface and seating
  • Must live in the United States
  • Not available to California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Washington residents
  • Must submit to a background investigation
  • Adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire if applicable
  • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
