About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involvement
  • Assess coverage, liability, and damages
  • Provide customer service through voice calls, email, and text messages
  • Use innovative platforms and tools to evaluate claims
  • Negotiate fair and timely injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
  • Handle a high volume of pending cases
  • Conduct detailed reviews of damage and interpret policies to determine coverage
  • Communicate claim information and progress to customers using their preferred communication channel
  • Apply legal and business-standard methodologies when evaluating and negotiating settlements
  • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
  • Execute policies according to policy agreements
  • Maintain clear, timely, and accurate claim documentation in the claims system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior represented third-party casualty claim handling experience is required
  • OH or CT claims experience highly preferred
  • 2-5 years of moderate Bodily Injury claim handling experience is preferred
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
  • Proficient knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, liability determination, and state regulations
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
  • Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zones
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions
  • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
  • Background investigation required
  • An adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire, depending on office/area
  • Position is not available to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
  • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
