About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support one of three virtual auto claims teams: Quick Foto Claims, Virtual Assist, or Estimate Share
- Conduct remote vehicle inspections by analyzing photos and live videos
- Review claims and write estimates and supplements
- Handle total losses for a wide variety of vehicles
- Communicate with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, claimants, and other stakeholders
- Investigate auto claims by reviewing damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage
- Use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through the claims process and provide claim updates
- Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements in accordance with legal and business standards
- Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims
- Execute policies, document claim work accurately and timely, and maintain clear records in the claims system
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 months+ previous experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell
- Demonstrated expertise in crafting comprehensive cost estimates for paintwork, body, frame restoration, and mechanical work
- Proficiency in using virtual inspection tools and computer applications
- Strong analytical skills to assess damages and write accurate estimates
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders effectively
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment
- Familiarity with insurance policies and industry regulations related to auto claims
- Ability to work from a home office located in the United States
- Position unavailable to residents of Washington, California, Alaska, and Hawaii
- Dedicated private workspace free from distractions
- Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Ability to attend required virtual and in-person training sessions and successfully complete approximately eight weeks of training
- Ability to attend two weeks of training at the Dallas, TX office
- Must obtain all required adjuster and/or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire and maintain required licensing, continuing education, and state-affiliated renewal requirements
- Must submit to a background investigation
