About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own, develop, implement, and operate Allstate’s cloud platforms
- Develop, build, administer, and deploy self-service tools for cloud-native application development, deployment, and operations
- Work in a paired-programming engineering team and collaborate with team members
- Split time between operational platform maintenance, customer requests, and engineering automated solutions
- Provide GenAI expertise on Azure and AWS cloud platforms through product and solution briefings, demos, proof-of-concept projects, and collaboration with product management
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP AI
- Advise consumers on AI accelerators, cloud strategy, migration paths, integration strategies, and application architecture
- Solve complex problems using product, design, and business priorities
- Provide thought leadership and technical solutions across engineering and product teams
- Engage consumers and collaborate with account and partner teams to qualify opportunities and resolve technical blockers
- Champion engineering practices and help teams establish Terraform and automation frameworks
- Maintain and enhance the existing Terraform codebase
- Coach junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Prompt Engineering and AI open-source ecosystem
- Experience and skills with Azure Application and AI services
- Experience with AWS Bedrock (Preferred)
- Experience with Vertex AI (Preferred)
- Knowledge of consuming large language model (LLM) and foundational model APIs
- Experience in Terraform development
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and Google cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI
- Python programming skills
- Terraform, including Tofu/Env0 tools
- Ability to present ideas and solutions
