About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involvement
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages
- Provide customer service throughout the claims process
- Communicate with customers and attorneys via phone, email, and text messages
- Negotiate fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
- Conduct detailed reviews of damage and interpret policies to determine coverage
- Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements in accordance with legal and business standards
- Handle challenging and complex negotiation situations
- Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
- Execute policies according to policy agreements
- Maintain clear, timely, and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
- Manage claims primarily in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and/or Wyoming
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience handling represented third-party Bodily Injury claims
- Experience managing severe, complex, and litigated Bodily Injury claims
- Experience handling claims in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and/or Wyoming
- Extensive knowledge of Gross Tort Value and Risk Analysis, a plus
- Experience using NextGen, Mitchell Decision Point, and Casualty Center, a plus
- Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone
- Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
- Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation
- Home office in the United States; not available to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico
- Dedicated private home workspace free from distractions
- Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up
- Appropriate work surface and seating
- Must submit to a background investigation
- Adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire, if applicable
- Active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment
- Resident producer license holders must surrender that license when instructed
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
