About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involvement
  • Assess coverage, liability, and damages
  • Provide customer service throughout the claims process
  • Communicate with customers and attorneys through voice calls, email, and text messages
  • Negotiate fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
  • Conduct detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage
  • Keep customers updated on claim progress using their preferred communication channels
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements according to legal and business methodologies
  • Handle challenging and complex negotiation situations
  • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
  • Document claims accurately and timely in the claims system
  • Protect the company financially by executing policies according to policy agreements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience handling represented third-party Bodily Injury claims
  • Experience managing severe, complex, and litigated Bodily Injury claims
  • Experience handling claims in Texas, Louisiana, and/or Arkansas
  • Extensive knowledge of Gross Tort Value and Risk Analysis, a plus
  • Experience using NextGen, Mitchell Decision Point, and Casualty Center, a plus
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation
  • Home office in the United States; position unavailable to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
  • Dedicated private home workspace free from distractions
  • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up
  • Appropriate work surface and seating
  • Must submit to a background investigation
  • Any required adjuster and/or appraiser license must be secured within 60 days of hire
  • Active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments and may not hold outside appointments during employment
