About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide paralegal support for a practice area under limited attorney supervision
  • Support the Arity Legal Counseling team within Business Law
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding contract workflows and processes, contract templates and drafting, legal research, and contract signing processes
  • Proactively identify, summarize, and monitor relevant issues
  • Manage intake of new matters and gather matter-related documents for attorney analysis
  • Review commercial contract deal sheets, enter new matter data, and complete contract templates based on commercial parameters
  • Review and explain aspects of forms to in-house clients
  • Conduct, summarize, and analyze legal research, including applicable laws, regulations, and case law
  • Determine independently whether additional research is needed
  • Maintain corporate records and archives according to records retention requirements
  • Review new and proposed legislation and determine applicability
  • Provide recommendations and updates to attorneys as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must meet the regulatory and qualification standards applicable to the paralegal profession in the state where work is performed; OR an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant paralegal experience
  • 4+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal environment
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys within a high volume fast-paced legal environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of corporate and/or compliance processes
  • Demonstrated expertise utilizing Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Extensive experience leveraging Microsoft 365 to support collaboration, communication, and workflow efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with attorneys and other team members
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively and adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of assignments
  • Proven collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across legal teams and business partners
  • Background investigation required
  • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating
  • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
