About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Meet customers at homes, repair shops, and tow yards
Write estimates and guide customers through repair or total loss processes
Conduct in-person visits, virtual inspections, and written communications
Evaluate vehicle damage and interpret policies to determine coverage
Investigate casualty and applicable line-of-business claims
Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat
Negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims
Document claims accurately in the claims system
Maintain clear and timely case records
Collaborate with body shops and service providers
Attend two weeks of in-person training at the Dallas, TX office if required

Requirements

What you’ll need

18+ months’ experience in auto collision estimating using CCC One
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise and comprehensive estimates
Comfortable utilizing technology and various platforms for claims processing
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Required licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Must maintain all licensing required for the role, including continuing education and state-affiliated renewal requirements
Must be located in Springfield or Manassas, VA
Must have a dedicated, private workspace when working from home
Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
Must submit to a background investigation
Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
Position is not available for residents of Washington, California, Alaska, and Hawaii
