About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write auto damage estimates at customer homes, repair shops, or tow yards
Handle repairable estimates, total loss assessments, and virtual inspections
Investigate casualty and applicable line-of-business claims
Review damage and interpret policies to determine coverage
Communicate with customers by phone, email, video chat, face-to-face, and virtually
Offer customers communication preferences and provide claim progress updates
Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must live in/near the Greenville, SC area
18+ months of experience writing auto collision estimates using CCC One, Audatex, or Mitchell
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise and comprehensive estimates
Comfortable utilizing technology and various platforms for claims processing
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire
Must submit to a background investigation
Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload for working from home
Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating
Regular, predictable attendance is required
May be required to attend a 2-week training in Dallas, TX
Position is not available for Puerto Rico, California, Alaska, and Hawaii residents
Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
