About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet customers at their homes, repair shops, or tow yards
- Write estimates and guide customers through the repair or total loss process
- Conduct in-person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication
- Collaborate with body shops and service providers
- Investigate claims through detailed damage reviews and policy interpretation to determine coverage
- Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat throughout the claims process
- Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
- Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims
- Accurately document claims and maintain timely records in the claims system
- Attend onboarding, licensing, and role-specific training
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years' experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise and comprehensive estimates
- Comfortable utilizing technology and various platforms for claims processing
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
- Must be located in Bellevue, WA (King County, Washington)
- Must attend required training sessions, participate in virtual learning activities, and successfully complete the training program
- Required licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained, including continuing education and state-affiliated renewal requirements
- Must submit to a background investigation
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
