About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for the most complex automobile accidents
- Determine coverage, liability, and damages
- Adjust and negotiate claims within authority limits
- Support liability claims across all 50 states, with approximately 90% of caseload focused on homeowners liability claims
- Identify customer needs and address them using appropriate customer service skills
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and handling approach for complex cases
- Apply advanced understanding of insurance policies, industry practices, and organizational relationships
- Recommend process improvements
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex or catastrophic injury claims when handled
- Investigate complex auto claims involving coverage, liability, and damages with discretion and independence
- Mentor and provide direction to junior employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience handling bodily injury litigation and homeowners liability claims
- Litigation experience required for success in the role
- Strong commercial claims background with transferable liability and litigation expertise may be considered
- Candidates must be located in the eastern or central time zone states listed for the role
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Employer does not sponsor individuals for work visas
- Active insurance license holders must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
