Key responsibilities & impact

Investigate basic and occasionally moderately complex auto insurance claims
Handle non-represented claims
Evaluate coverage, determine liability, and assess damages
Negotiate and settle claims according to established guidelines and best practices
Work directly with claimants, insureds, and other involved parties
Ensure timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards throughout the claim lifecycle
Investigate minor to moderately complex auto accidents
Prepare clear, concise claim summaries
Conduct recorded statements with claimants, insureds, and witnesses
Maintain detailed claim files, notes, summaries, and decision rationale
Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient claim handling

What you’ll need

2+ years of prior claim handling experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Comfortable using technology and learning claims-related software and tools
Dedicated private workspace free from distractions
Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download/5 MB upload
Appropriate work surface and seating
Required adjuster licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Must maintain all licensing required for the role, including continuing education and state-affiliated renewal requirements
Must submit to a background investigation
