About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Virtually inspect property damage
Investigate coverage and interpret policies
Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and accurately
Focus on water-loss claims
Provide exceptional service and empathetic support to policyholders
Communicate with customers, contractors, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants via phone, email, text, and video chat
Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements in accordance with legal and business standards
Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
Work Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 EST, with rotational Saturdays
Complete comprehensive initial and ongoing training
No supervisory duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidate residing in Central & Eastern time zone preferred
1+ years of previous customer service experience required
Previous industry experience highly desired
Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments preferred
Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders remotely
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment
Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on high-quality and efficient claim resolutions
Adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required by the office/area; if applicable, license(s) must be secured within 60 days of hire
Passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor may be required
Background investigation required
Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating
Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
