Lead critical engineering groups with significant responsibilities
Build relationships throughout the organization to ensure alignment and support for goals
Architect and design digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems
Apply scientific and technological methods to software design, implementation, testing, and documentation
Own and manage applications in production
Ensure digital product success through achievement of KPIs
Advise others on complex engineering matters
Translate strategy into challenging and meaningful goals
Manage teams responsible for strategic architecture components and key business functions
Act as an authority on software best practices and propagate them across the organization
Leverage and influence key stakeholders
Supervise up to 5 people

Requirements

What you’ll need

10 or more years of experience with Java and COBOL
Experience and knowledge developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot
Experience with Swagger, REST Docs, OpenAPI specification, API versioning, service discovery/registration, testing, and management
Experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale distributed systems and/or cloud applications
Experience with microservices architectures
Experience with web and API security, including authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML
Experience in backend development design and implementation
Experience with MongoDB and caching
Experience with Kafka messaging
Knowledge and experience using Git, artifact management systems, build and packaging systems, Maven, Gradle, npm, Artifactory, and Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools
Experience working in an Agile environment or paired programming/engineering model
Supervisory capability for up to 5 people
Computer Science knowledge
People management and relationship-building skills
