Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop an engineering team delivering cloud security controls as software products, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development
Set technical direction and drive execution across the design, implementation, deployment, and production support of cloud security capabilities
Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture and design reviews, technical decision-making, code reviews, and critical implementation work
Own the reliability, performance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of production products
Partner with Digital Product Managers, platform teams, engineering stakeholders, and security stakeholders to align roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and delivery plans
Build an engineering culture centered on test-driven development, pair programming, fast feedback, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Translate complex cloud security needs into scalable engineering solutions, reusable patterns, and automated capabilities
Lead agile execution focused on delivery outcomes
Serve as first-level manager for a team of engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software, cloud, platform, or security engineering experience, including ownership of production systems delivering measurable reliability, performance, or security outcomes
2+ years of experience leading and developing engineers through people leadership and hands-on technical guidance, including coaching, architecture reviews, design decisions, and code reviews
Deep experience securing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including cloud-native services, architectures, and security controls
Strong engineering proficiency with Python, Bash, Terraform, and cloud-native automation tools
Ability to translate security requirements and risks into scalable engineering solutions, reusable patterns, and automated controls
Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering initiatives, manage cross-team dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes
Background investigation required
Generally, no employment-based visa sponsorship
