About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involvement
  • Assess coverage, liability, and damages
  • Provide customer service throughout the claims process
  • Communicate with customers and attorneys through voice calls, email, and text messages
  • Negotiate fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
  • Perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements according to legal and business methodologies
  • Handle challenging and complex negotiation situations
  • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
  • Execute policies according to policy agreements
  • Maintain clear claims-system records
  • Complete timely and accurate claim documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience handling represented third-party Bodily Injury claims
  • Experience managing litigated Bodily Injury claims
  • Experience handling claims in Texas
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
  • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation
  • Ability to work from home with a dedicated, private workspace
  • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
  • Candidate(s) must submit to a background investigation
  • An adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire if applicable; the license is not required before hire
