About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute projects supporting reserving insurance business using accepted actuarial and statistical standards
  • Work closely with analytics management and key business partners to develop and execute reserving methodologies and modeling techniques of moderate complexity
  • Leverage understanding of insurance business, products, markets, and regulatory environments to create business strategies and decisions
  • Review and ensure the quality of data used for actuarial and statistical services across multiple tools/applications
  • Manage and/or contribute to moderately complex, moderate-scale projects using accepted project management standards
  • Communicate analysis results to management and non-technical users, make recommendations, and support assumptions and methodologies
  • Perform basic to moderately complex analysis using traditional actuarial, statistical, and/or predictive modeling techniques
  • Document and evaluate analyses to provide insights and meet business needs
  • No supervisory duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 year Bachelors Degree
  • Active pursuit of Casualty Actuarial Society exams is required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirements
  • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • Background investigation required
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions
  • Appropriate desk and seating required for home working
  • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
  • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
