About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and operate software products supporting risk management, risk controls, control workflows, and TORC operational needs
- Own product capabilities end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, deployment, integration, and production support
- Write, test, and maintain production code across React front ends, Spring Boot services, SQL data layers, and supporting microservices
- Apply test-driven development, paired programming, code review, automated testing, and continuous integration and deployment
- Contribute to system and component designs focused on scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and risk control outcomes
- Evaluate and adopt technologies, frameworks, and patterns improving usability, performance, resilience, and automation
- Collaborate with product managers, platform teams, control owners, and partner engineering groups
- Participate in agile delivery ceremonies and contribute to fast feedback, incremental delivery, continuous improvement, and production ownership
Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrated ownership of production systems throughout the full software development lifecycle
- Hands-on proficiency in React, Java, and Spring Boot
- Minimum of 1 year of experience coaching or mentoring engineers
- Experience with full-stack, microservices, or risk product delivery
- Ability to design, develop, and integrate APIs, backend services, REST-based interfaces, SQL data stores, and event-driven components such as Kafka
- Strong working knowledge of test-driven development, paired programming, automated testing, code review, and continuous integration and deployment
- Working knowledge of risk management, control management, compliance workflows, or technology risk concepts
- Experience with authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, and identity-based access patterns
- Knowledge of secure software development practices, resilient service design, data protection, and testing patterns for business-critical applications
- Practical exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
- Exposure to large language models, machine learning concepts, or AI-driven capabilities
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot or Cursor responsibly
