About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create or audit estimates of damages on first- and third-party material damage losses of all severities
- Apply knowledge of company policy types
- Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document activities in complex files across multiple lines
- Evaluate settlement alternatives for regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Decide on the best settlement option
- Build relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines
- Perform desk-based RV and specialty estimating using photos and remote inspections
- Assess damages for RVs, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles
- No supervisory duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience assessing damages for RVs, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles
- Advanced expertise writing estimates from photos and remote inspections, particularly for RVs
- Strong understanding of vehicle structures and repair processes
- Familiarity with CCC or Duncan (RV) estimating platforms is a plus
- Strong communication, time management, and negotiation skills
- Licensing is preferred; candidates without a license must be willing to obtain one during training
- 2 or more years of experience preferred
- Must terminate all existing insurance-license appointments before onboarding if currently holding an active insurance license
- Must not hold outside insurance-license appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
- Authorization to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
- Appropriate desk and seating
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
