About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, configure, implement, enhance, and support enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions
- Develop technical and functional designs addressing complex business requirements, application access needs, and security objectives
- Maintain IAM platforms supporting authentication, authorization, SSO, federation, and access control
- Partner with business stakeholders, security teams, infrastructure teams, application owners, and vendor support teams
- Create, refine, and guide user stories for complex features
- Coach team members learning the platform or process
- Facilitate feature review sessions, document key decisions, and align business and technical teams
- Plan, execute, and review module, integration, and system testing
- Manage issues, blockers, defects, and implementation risks through resolution
- Review vendor release features and identify opportunities to improve platform capability and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues using vendor defect resolution processes, support tools, documentation, and developer groups
- Evaluate proposed vendor products and enhancements against corporate direction, platform standards, and vendor roadmaps
- Provide technology issue resolution support across business areas and application processes
- Serve as subject matter expert for access management processes, vended IAM platforms, and application integrations
- Provide training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Develop and maintain technical, process, support, and implementation documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legal right to work in the UK; Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy
- Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise web access management or IAM platforms, including IBM Verify Identity Access, IBM Verify Access, IBM Security Access Manager, Okta, ForgeRock, PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud, Ping Access, PingFederate, PingAM, or similar tools
- Experience implementing and supporting single sign-on (SSO), federation, and access management solutions for enterprise applications
- Experience writing automation scripts using JavaScript, Python, Groovy, YAML, or PowerShell
- Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and federation concepts
- Desirable: experience supporting large enterprise IAM or access management environments
- Desirable: experience with cloud-based identity platforms, SaaS application integrations, or hybrid identity environments
- Desirable: knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, or related identity stores
- Desirable: experience with API security, access gateways, reverse proxies, policy configuration, or application onboarding
- Desirable: familiarity with IGA, PAM, adaptive authentication, MFA, or related security technologies
- Desirable: experience evaluating vendor roadmaps, testing new release features, and recommending platform enhancements
- Desirable: relevant identity, security, cloud, or vendor certifications
- Desirable: experience creating technical documentation, operational procedures, training materials, or platform standards
