About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct remote vehicle inspections by analyzing photos and live videos
- Review claims and vehicle damage
- Write estimates and create supplements
- Handle total losses for a wide variety of vehicles
- Communicate with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, claimants, and other stakeholders
- Investigate auto claims and interpret policies to determine coverage
- Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements
- Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
- Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
- Protect the company financially by executing policies according to policy agreements
- Offer customers their preferred communication method and keep them updated on claim progress
- Attend approximately eight weeks of onboarding, licensing, and role-specific training, including two weeks at the Dallas, Texas office
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 months+ previous experience in auto Collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell
- Demonstrated expertise in crafting comprehensive cost estimates for paintwork, body, frame restoration, and mechanical work
- Proficiency in using virtual inspection tools and computer applications
- Strong analytical skills to assess damages and write accurate estimates
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders effectively
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment
- Familiarity with insurance policies and industry regulations related to auto claims
- Must be able to attend required virtual and in-person training sessions
- Must actively participate in virtual learning activities and successfully complete the training program
- Must obtain all required adjuster and/or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire, if applicable
- Must maintain required licenses, continuing education, and state-affiliated renewal requirements
- Must submit to a background investigation
- Must have a dedicated private workspace free from distractions
- Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Appropriate work surface and seating
- Home office must be in the United States; position unavailable to residents of Washington, California, Alaska, and Hawaii
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
