About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel to customer sites throughout the continental United States, primarily on the East Coast, with Central U.S. coverage as needed
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment
- Repair equipment after diagnosis
- Read diagrams and schematics to perform full board swaps as needed
- Test machines after repair to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain and complete repair documentation paperwork
- Provide Level 2 technical support by phone to customers and internal employees
- Abide by company safety and health policies
- Perform low-voltage electrical repairs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other hand tools
- Set appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations
- Work closely with the Client Relations team to resolve customer issues
- Perform device calibration using specified test equipment such as power meters
- Mentor and aid other field service personnel
- Develop troubleshooting documents for the Client Relations team
- Travel 75–90% as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must live in or near New York or New Jersey
- Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of Field Service experience
- Experience with component level repair, preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 certification, preferred
- Ability to read diagrams and schematics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- NetSuite and Salesforce experience, preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Positive attitude and approach to job responsibilities and team
- Documentation showing eligibility to work in the United States is required
- Ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
