About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape the Alpaca Connect / Marketplace roadmap, including self-service partner onboarding and approval, app discovery and distribution, OAuth / consent experiences, and platform utilities
- Drive Trading API product strategy by understanding customer and partner needs, analyzing ROI, assessing market competition, and evaluating build-vs-buy opportunities
- Define and own product requirements with engineering, design, operations, data, partnerships, and other cross-functional teams
- Own product metrics through data analytics to measure success, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Guide go-to-market strategy and execution to drive product adoption, activation, retention, and revenue growth
- Drive Trading API growth across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization by analyzing the user funnel, removing friction, optimizing conversion, and running experiments
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects and initiatives as business needs evolve
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, STEM, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Trading, or building a product of your own
- Deep passion for trading, markets, and financial products
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL
- Sharp business acumen, with the ability to balance user experience, stakeholder needs, technical feasibility, and resource constraints
- Strategic thinking ability to solve immediate problems while keeping long-term company goals in mind
- Highly self-driven, with exceptional communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
