About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and evaluate new international markets, channels, and customer segments
  • Identify and follow up on new business leads in the region
  • Develop and manage relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with sales and Customer Service teams within the Europe region on go-to-market strategies
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of opportunities through networking, lead generation, and industry events
  • Coordinate with client services, business development, finance, and legal teams on contracts and service expansion
  • Expand Geochemistry service offerings in conjunction with Metallurgy, Environmental, Inspection, Geoanalytics, Mine site, and other ALS business streams
  • Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies
  • Align proposals with ALS pricing strategies and market conditions
  • Analyze quote win rates and guide site managers based on trends
  • Follow up on quotes and tenders with client services teams
  • Organize brown-bag events with technical experts to promote ALS services
  • Expand existing clients’ scope of services
  • Liaise between clients and internal teams to ensure communication, timely service delivery, and issue resolution
  • Maintain relationships with key decision-makers
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives to increase brand visibility and market share
  • Encourage and analyze annual client surveys and prepare improvement-action debriefs with site managers
  • Observe established safety regulations and ALS health and safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong understanding of the mineral exploration and mining industry
  • Familiarity with geochemical laboratory services, lab workflows, sampling procedures, and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of chemical analysis techniques, reagent handling, and on-site laboratory equipment
  • Understanding of proposal writing, cost estimation, and technical sales in the exploration and mining industry
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion
  • Strong project management and financial acumen
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or Economics
  • Certification in sales of business development
  • 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, senior client service, or strategic partnerships, preferably with international experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of applied geochemical/geology experience in an analytical or metallurgical lab
  • Experience with CRM software or similar and data analysis and reporting tools
  • Excellent experience preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations to clients and management
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving history
  • Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country applied for, or holder/eligible holder of a valid working visa
