About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop LIMS modules, integrations, and custom features
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Follow coding standards, best practices, and security protocols
  • Develop and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and system interfaces
  • Integrate LIMS with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems
  • Oversee data migration, transformation, and quality assurance processes
  • Mentor and guide junior developers and technical staff
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, laboratory stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Provide technical input on architecture, design, and long-term system improvements
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
  • Support user acceptance testing and provide third-level support for escalated incidents
  • Maintain technical documentation including design specifications, workflows, and release notes
  • Ensure systems and processes meet audit, regulatory, and data integrity standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in laboratory informatics or enterprise systems
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar
  • Proficiency in database technologies including SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience with LIMS development, configuration, or similar laboratory/ERP systems strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of system integration, APIs, and data management
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and manage multiple priorities
  • Must be available for occasional travel (3–4 weeks per year)
  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country applied for, or hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa
