About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain custom internal business applications, including CRM, data-entry, scheduling, and tracking tools
Develop dashboards and reports using project, financial, and operational data
Design and maintain data structures, data models, databases, and lists
Build automations and integrations between Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft 365, and other systems using APIs, connectors, and workflow tools
Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, while reviewing, testing, understanding, and documenting generated code, prompts, and agents
Partner with business program owners to conduct discovery, define requirements and measurable success criteria, and translate workflows into solutions
Serve as technical owner across discovery, proof of concept, beta, launch, support, and retirement
Follow build standards for version control, testing, documentation, and secure handling of API keys, service accounts, and connectors
Prepare security review submissions with Panattoni Tech and follow data-handling rules and client restrictions on AI tools
Triage and resolve bugs and enhancement requests and maintain programs after launch
Support beta testing, rollout, and user training with technical input, documentation, and quick reference guides
Track usage and time-saved metrics and report results to program owners and Tech & AI leadership
Advise and review power-user dashboards and automations for compliance with guardrails
Evaluate tools, platforms, and techniques and recommend when to build, buy, or retire solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

1-3 years of experience building business applications, dashboards, or automations, preferably in construction, engineering, or another project-based industry
Demonstrated portfolio of tools built and supported
Ability to explain data models, architecture, and tradeoffs without relying on AI assistance
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Power BI, SharePoint, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam preferred
Experience with a cloud platform preferred
Experience with AI-assisted development preferred
Self-motivated and able to work well with multidisciplinary teams in a deadline-driven environment
