About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Negotiate, administer, and maintain contracts and relationships with primary care physicians, specialists, ancillary providers, and hospitals
  • Ensure a high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant provider network
  • Support managed care growth initiatives and organizational goals
  • Identify and onboard new providers
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Foster strong partnerships with existing providers and partners
  • Assist in tracking progress and enhancing brand visibility
  • Support efforts to secure new contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Relevant experience in provider contracting, contract interpretation, negotiation, or client relations
  • Healthcare experience in a Managed Care setting or with a physician group, clinical-based organization, and/or in a hospital/facility setting preferred
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or Commercial provider networks preferred
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and provider databases preferred
  • Experience with provider reimbursement methodologies, including fee-for-service, capitation, and value-based models, preferred
  • Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements, including CMS, DHCS, DMHC, and NCQA, related to provider networks preferred
  • Understanding of the healthcare industry
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
