About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the PACE Education and Training Department
- Provide clinical oversight of the training team and its processes
- Ensure functional, technical, and clinical skills meet quality outcomes and productivity metrics
- Implement the education process for Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Personal Care Attendants
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate competency assessments to achieve patient-centered care across PACE and ACS locations
- Collaborate with the PACE Clinical Nurse Informatics Specialist, PACE departments, and PACE functional leaders
- Develop standardized, evidence-based training materials
- Deliver training focused on knowledge, skills, and attitudes to improve healthcare safety and quality
- Develop and implement standardized, evidence-based, cost-effective, efficient training protocols, workflows, processes, systems, and key initiatives for PACE and ACS clinical nursing departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) population as required by CMS PACE regulations
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a PACE program is required
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on training experience is required to develop training programs, procedures, and routines, preferably in healthcare organizations
- A current unrestricted California Registered Nurse License from an accredited nursing school is required
- Current CA Driver’s License required
- Soft and hard skills training and experience required
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with developing Learning Management System training modules is preferred
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
