About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate with clients by phone, email, and text message
  • Assess their financial situation and ability to pay
  • Negotiate realistic and sustainable payment arrangements
  • Explain account status, consequences, and next steps
  • Manage and prioritize a daily queue of accounts
  • Accurately document all interactions and ensure diligent follow-up
  • Comply with internal policies and applicable provincial regulations
  • Participate in the preparation of legal documents
  • Meet established quality and performance standards
  • Collaborate with a committed team focused on coaching and continuous improvement
  • Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fully bilingual, both spoken and written
  • DEC or equivalent college diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of collections experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and professionalism
  • Ability to negotiate tactfully, confidently, and empathetically
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to easily establish a relationship of trust with clients
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with others
  • Comfortable using financial software and digital tools
