About the role

You will design our products from the initial concept through implementation, bringing together user needs and business objectives.
You will develop our design processes and quality standards at amber and contribute your own ideas to improve the way we collaborate.
You will support other designers through constructive feedback, share your knowledge, and help the team grow professionally.
You will work closely with Product Management and Engineering, set priorities together, and ensure that solutions deliver measurable value.
You will help shape amber’s long-term design vision and translate our product strategy into clear, intuitive, and compelling user experiences.
You will guide your designs through implementation and work with Engineering to ensure a high level of quality down to the last detail.
You will help foster an open, appreciative, and collaborative design culture—and work with us to shape the future of AI-powered knowledge work.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Product Design, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
Enthusiasm for AI and a clear understanding of its opportunities, particularly in the field of design.
Experience using AI applications, especially for design-related tasks.
A strong portfolio showcasing B2B SaaS products and demonstrable value for users and businesses.
An independent, solution-oriented approach, with an eye for both the big picture and the details.
Experience structuring complex challenges, setting priorities, and moving multiple initiatives forward.
You work efficiently, thrive under pressure, and maintain an overview even during periods of high workload—including when advancing several complex topics simultaneously.
Enjoyment of knowledge sharing, mentoring, and constructive feedback.
Excellent knowledge of Visual and Interaction Design, user-centered methods, research, and Figma.
Ability to derive design decisions from user needs, qualitative insights, and quantitative data.
Experience collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing.
Excellent German and English skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and convincingly.
Experience helping shape product strategies.
