About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and ship product features used by farmers
- Improve infrastructure alongside experienced engineers
- Learn and apply engineering best practices and agile development
- Work across teams while learning about agtech, climate solutions, agricultural finance, farm operations, and sustainability
- Identify ways to improve development processes and the codebase
- Learn Ambrook’s tech stack and deliver a standalone customer feature
- Participate in Engineering team meetings and review peer code
- Analyze engineering best practices and share a technical improvement note
- Collaborate on core product work
- Own a project end-to-end, from technical design through implementation
- Break projects into granular tasks and triage and prioritize incoming issues
- Collaborate with Product to influence feature prioritization using audience insights
- Develop understanding of farm finance and customer needs
- Build full-stack features using Ambrook’s technology stack
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- Expected graduation in Spring 2028
- Available to work full-time in the NYC office for at least 6 months, from January through June 2027
- Strong computer science fundamentals and eagerness to learn
- Comfortable taking on ambiguous problems and creating elegant technical solutions
- Knowledge of when AI coding tools can expedite workflows and when to inspect code directly
- Experience with TypeScript, React, React Native, and/or Next.js
- Bonus: Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or basic ML tooling
- Bonus: Experience in agriculture
- Eligible candidates may need U.S. work authorization; Ambrook can support OPT/CPT, TN, and J-1 visa sponsorship
