About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage samples in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and ensure quick and efficient specimen processing
  • Develop understanding of internal lab processes and databases for pharmaceutical and partner operations projects
  • Communicate with pharma/partner operations departments about specimen status, delays, and expected completion dates
  • Respond quickly and professionally to inquiries by email, Slack, and in person
  • Track and manage progress on pharma/partner operations laboratory projects
  • Participate in monitoring audits of sample status and preventing delays
  • Monitor high-priority orders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 year college degree in Biological Sciences or similar is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and systematic
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to show initiative and work as part of a high-level team while working independently
  • Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes smoothly
  • Availability for the 12pm-8:30pm shift, likely including one weekend day
  • Ability to work 3 days onsite at the Chicago, IL office
