About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare monthly financial reports and consolidated reporting packages, including performance commentary, variance analysis and insights.
- Analyse financial performance, operating expenses and key business KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with department managers and budget holders to develop and manage operating budgets, investigate variances and identify actions.
- Support budgets, forecasts and strategic business plans.
- Support sales forecasting and profitability analysis across channels and regions.
- Develop financial reporting and analysis for regional, channel and global performance reviews.
- Review and reconcile financial information and accounting transactions, including invoice coding and other financial processes.
- Maintain and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting tools, processes and systems.
- Support system implementations and projects, including SAP.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, manage financial performance and inform investment decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-3 years' experience in accounting, financial analysis or a similar role.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience working with financial systems, reporting tools and large datasets.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and month-end processes.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Progress towards a professional accounting qualification is highly regarded.
- High attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and integrity of work.
- Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and recommend practical improvements.
- Ability to communicate financial information to finance and non-finance audiences.
