About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide oversight and leadership for end-to-end administrative and technical management of construction projects delivering energy resiliency and mission reliability for federal customers
  • Partner with Engineering and Construction teams in project design and development, including scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation, scheduling, commissioning, start-up, operations, and maintenance
  • Coordinate engineering, pre-construction, and construction teams with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive costs, optimal schedules, and delivery of equipment, installations, and construction services
  • Ensure Project Management teams manage vendors and subcontractors for safety, quality control, on-time delivery, budget compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Provide ongoing project status updates to senior management
  • Evaluate technologies and equipment and recommend suitable solutions
  • Lead implementation of site safety and health, quality control, operations and maintenance manuals, and training programs
  • Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration
  • Support business unit financial reporting initiatives
  • Manage project teams and resources, expenditures, and job cost accounting processes
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes
  • Foster positive business relationships throughout all project phases
  • Travel as needed to support construction operations
  • Support internal business development initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in construction management
  • At least five (5) years working on federal projects
  • Experience in industrial power, electrical/solar, mechanical, or engineering construction project management focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services
  • Ability to review confidential US Security Information
  • Experience with energy generation and energy efficiency disciplines is preferred, including power generation systems installation, BESS installations, photovoltaic system installation, microgrid control system installation and integration, direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, and warranty and service requirements
  • Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects, multiple staff, and multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Project
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing, issued by resident state
