About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute and activate the visual identity of American Bible Society
  • Design compelling creative content for print, webpages, email, social media, and other visual media
  • Design magazines and reports and develop graphics for digital use
  • Assist in developing brand assets
  • Work with the Director of Design and Marketing Team leaders on fundraising, marketing, and brand activation strategies
  • Align design work with organizational strategy and nonprofit fundraising best practices
  • Uphold and refine brand guidelines using user data, visual trends, technology changes, and communication strategy shifts
  • Create, expand, and refine sub-brands across American Bible Society
  • Tailor visual experiences for donors, church and ministry leaders, beneficiaries, and the general public
  • Coordinate with teammates and internal/external partners to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Develop user-friendly templates, including PowerPoint presentations, letters, mass emails, and editable PDFs
  • Report to the Director of Design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in graphic design
  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and participation in a Christian church
  • Active participation in organizational prayer, devotional times, and organization-wide events
  • Exemplary Christian ethics, behavior, and conduct
  • Alignment with the vision, mission, and values of American Bible Society
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into cohesive visual designs across channels
  • Ability to follow creative direction and apply fundraising best practices
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and present creative ideas clearly
  • Technical expertise in print and digital design
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva
  • Ability to create visual content for landing pages, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms
  • Ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must provide satisfactory reference checks
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must sign and agree to uphold the ABS Affirmation of Biblical Community
